The bar is a modern and welcoming location where the wine is served by the glass or by bottle. More than 100 references of wine for oenological initiations or personalized tastings are available. During a beautiful sunset, on the interior lagoon, with a view of the illuminated chapel, the sommelier will recommend you wine accordance to your taste, unless you allow him to take you on an oenological adventure where every sip depicts a new story with the radiance of chandelier light. While sitting on contemporary sofas, or atop a high stool, the wine, champagne, and digestive are tasted in a vibrant atmosphere, between knowing smiles and a mindful service. To accompany your glass of red, rosé, or white wine, choose the tapas of your liking, made with imported European products but with a Polynesian twist! We recommend you to try our slate plates of meats, cheeses, smoked fish, as well as the “chef’s recommendations”, tasty tapas made depending on the availability of products in order to maintain fresh and creative food. During your appetizer or at the end of your meal, the “HAPAINA” is prepared to become the cornerstone of your nights in which to share your moments of happiness around a quality drink.

Quality food and wine pairing is always seen an experience whose uniqueness is rivaled only by its memorableness. Order a glass at the “HAPAINA” and embark on a gastronomical rite of passage in oenology. Advised by our maitres d’hotel and sommeliers, each taste will be its own special moment. To accompany your “meat” tapas, the maitre d’hotel, Alexandre Oliver, will recommends a glass of “Indomptable” red wine, by Gérard Bertrand, 2012 edition, to bring freshness to your palate, with a hint of acidity through delicate pomegranate aromas. If you liked better a bottle, treat yourself with a Shiraz by Greg Norman Estate, 2010 edition; a sharp and unfiltered wine that reveals the subtleties of Morello cherries and vanilla flavors. As for our cheese, to highlight the smoothness of their flavors, a glass of Pinot Noir “Santaney” from Bourgogne, 2013 edition, is highly recommended due to its clear and light robe, a full-body wine with a strawberry natural aroma. If your prefer an earthy aroma, whose maturity is well balanced, you will appreciate a bottle of New Zealand’s “Petit Clos” red wine, 2013 edition. Finally, our maitre d’hotel invites you to have a glass of “Sancerre” white wine, 2014 edition, along with your fish, particularly smoked salmon, as you rinse your palate aerial grapefruit notes. You could also enjoy a bottle of Sauvignon blanc titled “Villa Maria”, 2014 edition, whose pleasant melon notes are pleasant throughout the entirety of your dinner. For those who are interested in local wines, 3 references are preferred: the “Blanc corail”, a Polynesian classic; a white Moelleux “Vin de Tahiti”, perfect for appetizers; and a rosé “Vin de Tahiti”, an austral islands harvest with a halftone robe. red Californian wine “Alexander Valley”, 2012 edition, which is full-bodied oaky wine with cherry and raspberry notes and is perfect to experiment with strong meats such as lamb, duck, or beef.
